Entreprenuer Andrea Scott first made waves as starting forward for the 2-time State Champion Solon Highschool women's basketball team. She then embarked on a career in photography, while raising 3 children from a farmhouse by Lake MacBride, where they're often spotted aboard her pontoon.
Scott is pleased to feature the work of iconic Iowa native photographer & artist Bill Ginkens, who goes by the moniker “Ginks.” Ginkens was a still photographer and actor on the Hollywood feature film Western Religion, as well as on the recent Iowa production East of Middle West, written & produced by Iowa-by-way-of-Swaziland's Makotsi Rukundo. Ginks also served as location manager & associate producer on the movie, and it was on this production where he and Scott first met and joined forces.
Andrea welcomes the opportunity to launch her artists collaborative with a vital blend of artwork, photography and music: “I'm delighted to open the doors to a great venue for showcasing Iowa's local artists and for our photo studio work. We look forward to providing a unique boutique space for everything from meetings to various multi-media uses. We will do it all right here, in the heart of Ely.”
